Welcome to Homecoming Wellness!

It is rare to go through life without experiencing painful events.  Sometimes, these events can limit your ability to live a happy, fulfilling life.  You may be feeling the effects of a single traumatic event (i.e. sexual victimization, witnessing a violent act, witnessing unsuspecting death…), or you may be struggling with the weight from years of events that continue to impact you today.

The term “trauma” seems like a buzzword these days. For some, trauma has deeply influenced their lives. When we experience suffering from trauma, we can feel as though symptoms become a huge part of who we are and it’s difficult to know where to start in reducing them. We are often afraid of what life would be like without them because it is what we’ve grown to know and what has kept us safe.  Yet somehow it isn’t working.  We find ourselves struggling from the effects of trauma and frequently lonely, misunderstood, and exhausted.

Healing from trauma, whether from a single incident or multiple events, is achievable.  Right now, you are courageously taking a step in healing; you would not be looking at this website if you were not.  I hope I can assist you in your journey to finding peace in your heart.

"Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."
– Brene Brown

Meet Monique Foreman

As a former military spouse and a daughter of a Vietnam Era Veteran, the military community holds a special place in my heart and where I seem to thrive. I understand how military culture can impact an individual’s worldview and how it is different from the general public. Therefore, I strive to create a safe place for one to be most courageous with their vulnerability while creating strategic challenges rooted in evidence-based therapies that promote effective and healthy change.
